The role of UX in Startups - 2023 survey summary

After receiving 58 submissions, here are the highlights:

👉 46.6% of the founders believe that UX is very important for their products - rating it 5 / 5

👉 The biggest challenge they face are:

• how to make the platform easier to use (53.4%)
• fix broken user flows (39,7%)
• how build the right product / MVP for their customers (36.2%)

👉 These aspects are important for them because they are looking to:

• grow important KPIs (11.9%)
• drive sales / Increase revenue (11.9%)
• increase engagement (9.0%)

👉 20.7% have a designer on their team, while 43.1% would work with an external partner (freelancer, design studio).

👉 Most of the founders have a budget under 5000 euros.

👉 Most of the teams are 2 - 5 people (56.9%)

👉 From those who answered, 58.6% have less than 10.000 euro ARR or no revenue at all

👉 47.4% are bootstrapped.
